2.How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- keep you signed in and secure your session;
- remember which business workspace you are working in;
- remember preferences such as your light or dark theme;
- protect against fraud and abuse; and
- understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
3.Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. Functional cookies remember your choices. Analytics cookies, where used, help us understand usage in an aggregated way.
| Category | Purpose | Can you opt out? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication, session security, keeping track of your active workspace, and fraud protection. | No — the Service will not work without these. |
| Functional | Remember preferences such as your theme (light or dark). | Yes — via your browser settings. |
| Analytics | Aggregated, privacy-respecting insight into which features are used, to help us improve. | Yes — via your browser settings. |
5.Third-party cookies
Some features rely on third-party providers (for example authentication, payments, or analytics) that may set their own cookies when you use them. Those cookies are governed by the respective provider’s privacy and cookie policies. We do not control third-party cookies and recommend reviewing those providers’ policies.
6.Managing your cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies, and warn you before some are set. Because strictly-necessary cookies are essential, blocking them will stop you from signing in and using GetBook.
Browser cookie controls are usually found in the privacy or security settings, including:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari — Settings → Privacy
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
7.“Do Not Track” signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, so we do not currently respond to them differently. We keep our use of tracking technologies minimal regardless.
8.Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy as our use of cookies changes. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date.
